I wouldn’t worry about it moving, did you drill a hole in it?
 
If the bolts are tight, then you need shorter bolts.
DO NOT try to Permatex it up in it's current condition.
Edit: I thought you were wiggling the housing in the video. My bad.
Normal for the stat to move inside the housing- no worries.

:rofl::rofl::rofl: You always check the thermostat fit with the machined recess in the intake and damn, those shiny t-stat housings are junk.
