we did cam docs down to .001 and I can confirm what you say about the long ramps below .004.
magnum and hp mopar cams are really long, MP cams shorter
aftermarket cams are all over the place but you can count on the old school cams as being long.
One example is that the Lunati and howard's 256 cams are shorter than the 256 old school cams
Jones 256 motorhome lobe is shorter seat to seat than any other nominal 256@.006 cam tested- by a bunch
like advancing the others 4 degrees

I really want to thank you guys for your wisdom. I'll have to sticky this to myself so that so that I can read it everyday for a year till it clears up a little.
