Seal of some sort. Felt like with metal backer.. Screws on with about 5-6 screws

Number 1 looks like the pivot Points for the sway bar on a 72 Duster.

Yes if I remember correctly there mounted at an angle.

I think:
#1 = 1973+ sway bar bushings. 70/71 are angled and mount directly to the k-member.

So the brackets I have are for the outside corners of the bumper. Like by the side marker light ?

Correct as stabilizer pivot but not 72. It is 73 up A-body or 70 up B and E-body

Actually 70-2 B and 70-4 E. 73-up B is totally different.
I wasn't completely accurate in my response.
