Kickdown cable and shifter cable install problems

Putting a lokar kickdown cable on my 65 Barracuda. This is a temporary set up since the car will be getting a manual valve body trans over the winter. My issue is that the cable arm and my aftermarket shifter arm want to be in the same area. Has anyone else run into this? if so what did you do it fix it?

Had the same problem on my brothers scamp. Re bent the arm the opposite direction (so it was on the upside instead of down). Cleared everything and works correctly.
