I've seem worse.

Much worse.

The AMC 6s are kinda fun engines to hot rod, I'd like to do one of the 4.7 liters with the 4.0 liter block and 258 crank, rods, and old school top end. The old 258s ran pretty strong for a 6.

I think the later model AMC 6 and 8 engines are ridiculously under-rated

My folks had a '74 hornet 258 automatic and a 67 Rebel with a 258 three speed. Both ran like they had v8s in them.

Totally agree. I kind of liked it. I will often go up to someone with an odd car like this at a car show and ask them to tell me about it. They are usually thrilled to tell you all about it. I have met some really nice people like that.

Not exactly my jam, but it looks pretty decent to me. It actually looks like they did a good job with that one.

I mean, if we start the weird scale at El Camino’s and Ranchero’s to begin with then it really isn’t all that strange.

compared to the el cademon that pops up from time to time, this thing looks great
