Iv'e about had it with fruit fly's this year, the little bastards go through my window screens and are hard to catch I have my funnel in a cup of fruit and that helps a lot but would like to open a window without letting them in. Any suggestions would be great.
We have a problem with the little bastards too, no idea where they are getting in, I think they are coming from some of the plants that my wife has around the house, she sprays them with some insecticide which seems to help. Been a busy weekend putting the final touches on the flooring, reinstalled the baseboards, made some minor changes and added the transition pieces. Still have temperatures in the 80s, and no rain in sight but cooling down later in the week. Drove the shitbox to work everyday this week now that I finally got it running properly it's been very reliable so far, great oil pressure, runs right at 190*, finally made me happy!
I checked the soybeans today. It looks like I am a week or two from starting harvest weather permitting.
Been blowing the fan out of the window lately trying to suck in the warm air in the afternoon. Got the house up to 68 before it started cooling off. I love these warm fall days. Too bad it is so short lived.
Diane does something with a piece of fruit and it seems to work fine. I'll ask her and post it when she wakes up. They are pesky little bastards and you're right they come right through the window screens.

Luckliy we have great neighbours here. Just met the new ones that have moved in across the road and are very nice nice people. They are East Indian and he told his name but said just call me Dave LOL. The guy that bought next door are doing a major reno and it will be rented up and down but he's given me his phone number and said if there are any problems you phone me direct. He did say he will rent it for 2-3 yrs them move in himself so sounds promising
Was 5c here yesterday morning but finally creeped up to 20c. Just looked outside and it's raining as they said it would and then sunny the rest of the day. Didn't go to the car show last night. It was really overcast and windy, however it didn't rain but sure looked like it was going to. Tonight looks great though so will go tonight.
Yeah I see lots of berries on the bushes and think that means a long Winter...maybe just an old wives tale just hope it comes and goes real fast.
The shitbox is the Dart, after the time I've got in it trying to solve the problems it has a new name. My neighbor has been pretty quiet since I put up the cameras, the last time the police were here I think it finally got through to him that he and his buddy were the problem.
