It is quite amazing, I sit in blind covered to neck read my book listening and looking up every couple sentences. After 20 - 30 min the bush becomes alive around you, squirrels, chickens, foxes, even watched a pine Martin a few times. Sitting quiet in nature is just good for your well being

And the dead quiet as well. I loved that when I was out in a wrecking yard cutting out w/shields. Could hear a mosquito fart.

 

I am an avid hunter. I always say "When I'm in a tree stand I'm 20' closer to GOD" him and I have a lot of good talks out there.

 

How you making out there Biff? Any of the flooding get near you yet? I see a ton more rain coming your way. Keep your chin up.

 

Been a cold day but at least it was sunny. Went over to my buddies place after lunch and put his other car away. 2 cars in a car and a half garage. We have them just inches from the wall and the snow blower goes down between them. Works out pretty good really. We were supposed to get some snow overnight and got a very little dusting. The roads in town are just smothered with road salt. Dumbasses can't check the forecast I guess. Lot of money spent spreading it for nothing basically.

 

I've been telling you about the Coyote problem we've been having well finally someone did something. There was several coyotes staying around a park and had bitten a couple of people. They bought the swat team in basically and he climbed up on top of a school roof. BOOM all over with now they have to make sure it was the right one. Take out the other ones I say to make sure. Problem solved

We been talking for a long time now and gain a few and loose a few. Miss SLO and FOG and now CF is not saying much anymore.

 

These double shifts are keeping me away. Last year it was 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off but I have been non stop since September. That should hopefully change soon.

 

I don't think I could do that anymore it's hard just putting 5 hours in a day.

 

It takes a toll but once we hire a full crew it will be few and far between.

 

Hope they hire some good people.

 

Where I am we’re used to 50/100mm per day with minimal flooding,there’s lots of bush to soak it up the low lying areas do get awful soggy but nothing like the mainland was.

We just had a 24 year old kid start last week and he is really sharp on cars and computers so it looks good with him there. He asked me after the first couple days if the lead guy was stupid or just dumb. lol

 

I'd still let you win regardless.....

 

Sounds like the kid is a keeper.

 

Maybe just maybe instead of worrying about the pursuit of happiness, we should be happy with the happiness of pursuit.

 

He's one smart cookie. Didn't take him long to figure it out. Just hope he stays.
