For replacement springs, can recommend McVeigh (I used these on my 73 /6 Dart Custom), Espo (used on my Demon), or Eaton springs (also considered.).

LEAF SPRINGS AND HARDWARE
A.
XHD Leaf Springs - Original Equipment

These extra heavy-duty O.E. Leaf Springs are just like the bias design production
springs that were stock on 1968-72 A-Body vehicles with 340 high-performance
engines, 1967-71 B-Body vehicles with 440 or 426 manual and automatic
transmissions, and 1970-74 E-Body vehicles with 440 or 426 manual or
automatic transmissions. Springs will fit any A-Body (1968-72), B-Body (1966-72)
or E-Body (1970-74), regardless of engine size, and come with front bushings
installed in assembly. B-Body: front 22", rear 36". Select right or left spring.

Competition Leaf Springs - Super Stock

Designed to control torque roll, providing equal bite on rear wheels through
limited axle windup. These springs don't lock up the rear, but allow it to move,
keeping the tires on the track where they belong. The rear springs listed below
have a 20-inch front segment and require a longer front spring hanger bracket for
B-, E-, F-, J- and M-Bodies (not included). Standard hanger brackets used on ABody.
When P3412002/03 is used on a "B" or "E" body frame, the rear spring
eye in the frame must be relocated forward; Pinion Snubber is recommended. If
using P4120863, vehicle will not be level at standstill.

does it make a difference between v8? and 6?
. There is not much difference between the /6 and the 2 bbl V-8 in springs. The HiPo 8s are a bit stiffer.

Don't know the intended use of the vehicle, so I'm unable to make a recommendation:

I'm also using the Mancini XHD springs on my barracuda, I've been well satisfied.

Can anyone i guess point me in the direction of how heavy of springs to go looking at that link from sireland there is all different wieghts. My car is a 2 door 70 swinger currently it has a slant 6 at max it will ever get a 360. and will NEVER see a track thanks guys!

v-8 springs have the larger dia. front spring eye bolt. nothing drilling the springs hanger out to 5/8 won't cure.

i have uses the espo springs on a few cars and love the results. they have awesome customer service and quick shipping. you can get the springs in +1 or +2" heights also which is nice..

heres the latest one i did... we ordered the espo (http://www.springsnthings.com/vehicle.htm) +1" for her car. and wen with the V-8 springs. oh and they are the XHD 6 leaf springs..
