Hey.
Currently in the middle of building my 73 dart swinger. Currently I have hdk front suspension, it’s going to have a 360 bored and stroked to 413. Estimated 425 Hp and around 500ftlbs of torque. My current rear suspension plan is running espo leaf springs in the stock location with dr diff 3/4 offset shackles with a hellwig rear swaybar. My plan is to build a car that can carve through mountain roads and handle well more than going in a straight line. Car will be driven in the street 99.9% of the time. I was going to eventually get an RMS alterkation rear suspension for the set up in a few years when I recoup some money but that leads me to now. I am currently putting new tubs into the rear because of rust and decided to just put new tubs to fit bigger tires when I switch rear suspension, knowing that I wouldn’t be really using the space right now but just thinking down the road. But I recently acquired a usct 3 inch spring relocation kit to move the springs into the frame rail, it was never my plan to do this but I just happen to have the parts now and I’m thinking if I should just go for it. From my reading, moving the springs to the frame rail isn't good for handling which wouldn’t be good for me, but I read a good sway bar would offset this. So would the hellwig bar with the spring relocation in fact give me good handling and the four link isn’t really necessary? Or is it better off to not cut my frame and leave the springs in the stock location untill I can afford and convert the rear suspension. Thanks.
