I have bucket seats in my 68 dart. When i look at the seats from the back, It's obvious that the drivers seat is leaning toward the middle (seat back and headrest are tilted). Has anyone dealt with this before and if yes did you just shim up the seat mounts.?

Seat back frame might be bent?

On the passanger side is there a stop on the inside to keep the back from leaning farther back?

On bench seat there is a stop on the outside of each seat back for that purpose.

There is a little bit of a recess in the floor on the inside mounting points "I believe" there was a steel plate above & below the sheet metal to sandwich where the bolt went through. I think one wasn't used on the outside bolts because the bracket under the floor was larger and went all the way over and tied to the rocker.
Is the passenger side also leaning inward?

You need to look underneath at the bolt mounting points. The floor may be cracked.

67 seat brackets have adjustable height on both sides . Not sure about the 68.?

Seat frames rust and break causing seat to lean...remove cover,foam,etc.. weld the bad area ..usually you can find a spring broken also
