Back around the time I was 15 years old (1978) they had an "instant hot water" dispenser put in under the sink with the faucet pouring scalding hot water. INSTANT instant coffee!!

Good ratio !!!A coffee measure "scoop" is 2 tablespoons. I use one scoop for 2 cups. The morning pot is 6 cups of water and 2 level scoops. I like my morning coffee full flavored but not so strong that it is bitter. I think a tablespoon per cup is pretty standard.
