Let's talk about throttle cables...

OK guys, what should I order as a replacement for my car? I want to swap out the original 36 yr. old cable and install a new one for use with my 6 Bbl. The original cable seems too long and it's coiled up a bit so it fits my car. Is the cable advertised as a "six pack" cable any different?

How long is the one you have now? Here's a list of cables with part numbers, its not all of them and I don't have a listing for a 6 bbl but at least you'll have an idea what was made.
