Lifters interchangeable?

I have a new Isky cam with lifters but I am now looking at a comp cam. Can I use the hydraulic lifters from the isky for the comp cam XE camshafts. Just trying to save money.

We use to do that all the time when we were kids. We use to change cams like we changed our underwear always using same lifters.

Now that I am older and have a few bucks... New cam always gets new lifters.

I'd love to know the specs between the two cams, and why you're making the change?

But lifters do not have to be the same brand as the cam, if that's what you're asking.

hi, the lifters are prob made by johnson lifters for both cam companies. if they're new, its ok, if used , nope. lifters develps wear pattern. have to get new or have others recut.
