I’m in search of a set of 360 engine mounts for my sons magnum swap into his 67 Dart. I need the style for a 67-72 k frame, not the spool mount ones. Any help would be appreciated.

while searching on this website I came across someone selling 70’s truck 360 mounts and said they could be used to put a magnum in an a body without using the rubber do they would be solid mounts? Anyone done this. If so, is it recommended?
Thanks

Find a set of easier to find 67-72 A body 273-318 V8 mounts, get 1 longer bolt and a spacer for the LH aft mount ear. RH mount is same as a 273-318. See pic below

Doesnt matter. Look at the mounting ears on the block. 360 block ears and 318 block ears are machined different. The pic is to show where the LH spacer needs to go if using ANY 273-318 mount on a 340-360

So basically the only difference is the width, but everything else is the same?

Yup. RH is direct bolt on, LH needs 1 longer bolt and a spacer. Or you can buy 68-72 genUine 340 mounts and pay a premium for them.

I recommend bolting up the 2 front bolts on the LH mount, take a caliper and measure the gap between the rear bolt and the block ear, and make a spacer that fits. Or stack a bunch of washers in there.

Use rubber mounts and a torque strap, or torque chain to prevent mounts ripping out. If the engine will be under 300HP, I have these motor mount limiters that work. Limiters are only needed on LH mount.

@moparmat2000 Has correctly answered your questions and given you the correct mounts to use and how to use them.

Follow my pictures. And make your own from 318 mounts. Cost? A lil welding & a can of paint.

Find a extra mount to cut the ear off. Super easy. Time? Maybe 15 mins? How quick can you find someone to weld it?

I’ve got a welder and I’m not afraid of fabricating. What I don’t have are any mounts to modify.

Since another member gave me the red X, I think I need to reword my answer. What I mean by doesnt matter by them being spool mounts in my picture, is I wanted the member having issues to look at just the part of the mount in the picture where it attaches to the engine block. Weather you are using 73-76 spool mounts or the earlier 67-72 mounts for your specific application, the LH rear mounting ear on a 340, 360 is moved forward compared to a 273/318. The 273/318 mounts will bolt up and require just a longer bolt for that one mount ear, and a spacer or stack of washers.
