A little bird told me because of emission laws the Super 6 package wasnt allowed in California. I've been looking on Ebay but to buy every part separate + shipping is going to kill me. I've got a 2bbl carb sitting on a 318 so i need to find the rest of the setup.

Im sure nobody sells reproductions, anyone seen any in local junkyards?

You only need the 2 bbl intake and if your Auto trans then the kickdown linkage. Exhaust manifold is the same/will work for or off any slant 6. 2 1/4 exhaust to the muffler then 2 " out the back. Get Remflex or Auusie manifold gaskets (they are MUCH thicker).

Will the linkage and choke work from a 1 bbl to a 2 bbl?

You might as well go to a 4 bbl if your going to make the change.
Because if you dont now you will later.
    Trust me,been there done that.......8)

I disagree with Johnny. The 2 bbl super six is a great street setup. I have even seen some real screamers that run 2bbl setups. 13 sec in 1/4 mile.

Back to your question No the 1 bbl wont interchange with the 2 bbl linkage. Either Lokar or there is another that escapes me right now. The factory linkage is easy to install although if you have a 66 and down you may want to go cable on your gas pedal instead of rod type. I know that there is one on ebag right now Andy over at .org has it listed.
The chokes can be made to work with some creative linkage bending.
    Hope this helps.

there always seem to be intakes on the auction site. i wanted to go with a 4 brrl because the complete setups were going for way more than i wanted to spend and i could have had a 390 and wieand intake for half the price of the last complete super 6 i saw sell for, but my buddy and the guys here advised against the 4 brl. i got lucky and found a local complete setup for cheap. you can get kickdown cables from bouchilon or mancini. im not a slant guy but im going to play with this one, it runs good.

    Weren't all the F-Body Aspen/Volare's two barrels?

Grab me and give me a shake if I'm wrong about that. I don't know what they did in California.

Not sure what your disagreeing with frank, dont recall ever saying it was a bad set-up.

    13's with a 2 bbl ?
Would love to see that.I have a Hot Rod magazine article with Dutra and a Duster. 0.30 over cast alum pistons,,Clifford Cam, Hyper-pack,over size valves, ported head,0.100 shaved,9.2:1 compression,Demon 4 bbl,100hp shot nitrous, super stock springs, cheater slicks,on and on. Completely gutted car with a seat, battery in the trunk. Best time 13.576/99.23.

I guess it comes down to what you want to do with the car.
But in my experience, you will always want more.

ALL Station Wagon Aspen/Volare were 2bbl. There are plenty of 1bbl in non SW.

    Johnny
Not really a disagreement... Just a whole lot of people just want to put a 4bbl intake and headers on a BONE stock slant and then get pissed that it doesnt scream and trounce V8's.
Look at the Guzzi build over @ dot org. I have personnaly seen that car and it ran a 13.91 on a Holley 500 2bbl this is a NA build no hose or Turbo. It is a 62 Valiant.

That's where I crossed my wires.

There's a wrecking yard up in the Gorge chock full of F-Body wagons. DusterIdiot has a line on them up at Dot org. If the guy hasn't called the crusher in, they had manifolds and kick downs. Some of them may have had intact head pipes. All the carbs were gone in the cars we checked. I saw in the neighborhood of twenty of those cars out there. I'm sure I didn't see all of them!

Guzzi installed a four barrel, but may revert to his two barrel. Don't know. He ran 13.8x at MATS on a 600 Holley, but his build changed a bit over the winter. Apples and Oranges, wot?

I've seen the tail lights of many two barrel cars!

This is what I ended up doing, I found a super six setup complete on ebay (intake/exhaust manifold +2 carbs tons of other crap but no kickdown) for around 150$ +shipping. I don't know about you but that was cheaper than I found anywhere else, hell the exhaust manifold alone typically starts at that. Because of everything I was doing I took it to a trusted mechanic to help me out, and we went over the options and decided to switch over to a cable pedal set up for less future stress and better reliabilty. Just my .02$

If you really want to waste time with a slant 6, I do know of a complete automatic 2bbl set-up, with k/d linkages, that's available for @ $250.

A V-8 with that annoying rattling noise would be much more potent, though. :D

Not true. When I was a kid, our family station wagon was a '76 Aspen with a 1bbl slant, bought new at the local dealership. I eventually inherited the car when I was old enough to drive. That was my first, and worst, slant six experience ever. One of the slowest slugs I've ever driven.

Never figured out how my Dad could've actually BOUGHT that car after a test drive...

So would a small block Chevy. What's your point?

Contrary to popular belief, the "Slant Six" section is NOT not the "Engine Swaps" section. Some of us actually PREFER to "waste time" on slants rather than V-8's (gasp!), hard as that may be to believe.

If you don't like slants, stick to your V-8, but keep your disparaging comments to yourself. Last time I checked, this was an "A-body Mopar" site, not a "V-8 Mopar" site.

I've bought a 318 last month with the 3spd tranny attached with the intent of dropping it in, but lately i've been thinking about keeping the /6 to keep it somewhat original. Theres plenty of 340 or 360 Demons out there but how many /6s still even run?

Theres an auctions page on another website? I've been crusing ebay and get a craigslist add every now and then when i search google. can someone post the link?

killerbeesracing.com has some photos of PJ's /6 Demon race car. It's been in the 15's pretty deep already. If Edd adjusts the secondary to come in on the Holley, it should get downright quick!

Watch the classifieds here and over at .org. I got my complete set up without exhaust off of the classifieds on here. You might also do a search on Dr Mopar as he has a scrap yard and had complete set ups when I checked with him last year. If I come across his web site I will add it. http://www.drmopar.com/

Heck, from what I've seen over the years, we might've had the ONLY 1bbl slant wagon... (Maybe it would be worth something today... ;) )

We bought it off the lot. The car was a demo, as I recall, so I assume the dealership ordered it that way, but I can't imagine why.

I took my driving test in that car 5 years later. :)

So far I've got the carter carb and air cleaner off a 318 (plus brand new "Super Six" decal. I just bought an intake manifold off ebay for 50+shipping. Should I get a super six exhaust manifold if I find a cheap one or can i just modify the one I've got?

Which means the last two things I need are the throttle cable and kickdown linkage. Im in CA so im not going to find any aspens or volares with super sixes but can i use the cable and linkage off a 318?
