That'a looks like a pretty nice area - at least it is getting close to the mountains. I've not been below the Pigeon Forge area and I would suspect is still gets pretty hot right there in the summer??
I'm gonna be moving into the mountians on the NC side this spring. We are still looking at property right now but know where we want to go. I set an "altitude limit" of nothing below 2500 feet for me...... I've lived in the flatlands of NC for 20 years now and I am just flat out sick of the hot summers and constant humidity. I hated it when I was working but at least I was usually sheltered by A/C at work. The past two summers that I wasn't working it drove me crazy because I finally had free time but I couldn't go out and do anything cause it was too hot - for three months!! I also don't want to go way north and get into the frigid stuff so I think the mountains are just about as perfect as it gets. Truely is God's Country in the Smokies!!

Forgot to add - for those looking to move to NC - I have one heck of a good deal on a house just 3 miles down the road from the Rockingham Dragstrip and Speedway!!!!! :)

we live like 10 mins from the property and we are around 20 min from tellico plains which IS at the base of the mountains.

I'd jump on it in a minute if me and the wife were retired and if I knew my grandson would be staying in Knoxville permanently. My son is subject to having to move possibly every few years with his job, so that would not work out too good.

Guys, some of you looking to relocate need to jump on this thing. This really is a beautiful area, plus having Benton's Smokehouse just down the road doesn't hurt either...especially if you love bacon.

Good luck wracks...hope it sells.
