A few months ago I asked for thoughts on purchasing a car with no title and had many good thoughts from "run away" to some constructive ideas on how to make it work. First thank you all for your in put.

In Florida I purchased a Healey 3000 to restore for my daughter from Ohio with no title after having a talk with a title specialist here in Florida. He did a search with DMV to make sure the car was not on a hot sheet, wrote a registered letter to the last know address of the previous owner provded by the Ohio DMV, That was returned. He then went to the Florida DMV (not sure how he presented his case) and two weeks and $300 later I have a clear Fl. title. Not saying this would work in all states but it is doable here.

Kind of new to this site so am not sure if I can post his bussiness name and phone number. If you would like it for your information please PM me.

$300 well spent to get by that. Glad you got by it ok and a 3000 is one sweet car.

Is he in the wrecker or mechanic business? That is what you can do here in Oklahoma to get a title. Cost about $50.00 for an out of state title if you own one of those type businesses.
