Lots of visitors/guests looking in on our FABO site.

Please be respectful when posting up your content. Way more guests looking in than regular members on a regular basis, people from all different countries besides the USA. Heavy traffic of visitors/guests today on this Monday afternoon March 10th 2025.

This is normal for most, if not all, technical / mechanical forums, most of the time.

People are having a problem, or looking for something interesting, they Google it, it links to some posts here, and they read a few of them or just open them to maybe or maybe not read later.

The question is, What criteria does the system use to decide that an IP address is "On Line"?
It is probably every IP that has called for a page in the past x minutes (could be 5, could be 10, could be 15), because that's all the site knows about who is "on."
The information would be more meaningful if we knew what it actually meant.

As for other countries, sure, A-bodies were sold all over the world.
Remember, though, that a lot of people us VPNs these days, which may appear to be coming from darned near any country (the site thinks I'm in Sweden right now).

So, yes, be respectful. We should do that anyway. Our Grammas and our kindergarten teachers told us to, and they were right. And that applies even if nobody else is looking.
But also be careful, as you never know what kind of con artists, or AI bots, are scraping everything you write.

It's better than over on FCBO. They have pages of new members joining all of the time. I can't help but to think a lot of them are Derby Dicks looking for C bodies to destroy. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't doubt that a bit although, not many comment about stripping a car for derby action. It does happen occasionally though. You guys over there have a lot of nice cars though.
 
"Guests" include members that are not signed in as well. We have over 60K members, so the number of guests that are members could be quite significant.

depending on how the forum software is written "guests" is anybody or thing viewing the page that is not logged in.

so that could be members, members that have their online status set to hidden, people that did a google search for a question and are just browsing, somebody that has the page up in an open tab on their browser running in the back ground, scammers trolling for easy marks or pics and copy for fake ads, and bots.

mostly bots.
