Well for one I just had a customer that brought me a cam for his build new in box. It did not fit in the block. It was very tight and did not want to turn at all. The when I checked the timing gear it was way to tight as well. It was not machined correctly or was bent. Plus it looks like ****. I got a Summit cam and it fit and was smooth as silk when I turn it in the block. The block was just cleaned and new bearings installed. I went and tried one other cam I had in the shop and it fit perfect. So I know the new Comp Cam was the problem. Now if you can find the older cores they seem to be OK.
