Magnum 360 Valve Spring Options

Hey guys, running into a little issue here trying to put a cam in this 360 motor for my 74 dart. Below the cam specs. And I was going to use the Hughes HUG 1199 Springs and retainers kit, but they no longer have their retainers and have no idea when they’ll have a replacement. So I have this cam sitting here and no great options for drop in Springs. Anybody have some ideas or parts they’ve used in the past. I have seen people claim the Hughes Springs were made by PAC. But can’t find part numbers to match.

Nvm, re-read it and now understand.

Seems like any company can get retainers, just measure the springs and call and explain what you're doing

Hughes has their springs in stock. But they don’t have the retainers to match and can’t get them. Just having a hard time, finding Springs and matching retainers The retainers need to fit 5/16 valves, and the springs need to fit magnum head valve seats and allow the lift of the cam that I have. Not the most experienced engine builder, but also not my first rodeo I’ve put a couple hours of research into this. Just looking to see if anybody has any experience with magnums and part numbers for springs, and retainers outside of Hughes.

If this is a reference to Howard’s 98214 they max out at .500 lift the cam I have is slightly higher than that.

Well, that's JUST a single SprAng. There should be people crappin out retainers everywhere.

Close, almost perfect but these are for 3/8 Valve Stems.

The Magnums have 8mm (5/16) stems.

Ideally looking for something close to these specs.

I'll be honest... and again I've only put together a few engines but I didnt know I could use 10 degree locks and retainers. I guess I just assumed the valves would be slightly diffrent between the two.

Those might work! I'll call Howards tomorrow.

All you need for 10 degree stuff is the retainers and locks. The valves remain the same.
