Magnum Kegger Mod

Ok so I have been reading on the net in several locations about the kegger plenum gasket leaking and having to remove the intake to fix it. So my question is why not do the internal mods to make if breathe better and instead of bolting the steel belly pan back on make an aluminum copy and have it TIG welded all the way around. Now there would be no gasket to leak, problem solved. This should work right? I see no reason it won't.

Welding is expensive
