I have a 360/390 magnum motor I bought used it was never ran but it had some water damage so I had to take it apart and clean up some rusty parts and reassemble.

It has the 288/292 duration .501/.513 lift hydraulic roller cam 108 centerline. It's been awhile since I put it back together but I think I degreed the cam straight up at 108. Should I have advanced or retarded the cam timing?

Why? If you know that much, then you know the effect it has. What do you want?

Run it. It might be better at 104 if it's a 9:1 engine. If together, just go with it as is.

Lol.. I didn't check it before disassembly so now I was just wondering if the factory builder of these engines installed them straight up, advanced, retarded, or if they just lined up the dots.

Still, the question.... (lol). Ordered a close spec roller, gonna go +2 intake lobe advance.
