I installed the 6a and couldnt get the car to start in the cranking mode but could with the key on and jumping the start relay it would start and run fine. After doing a ton of reading and finding I need to have the 12volts "run" and "start" both feeding the small red wire on the Ign box - is it safe to just put a wire between the two terminals on the ballast resister? Thanks for the help.

im pretty sure kits like that gets rid of the ballast. not sure exactly how to do it, i would think that would be fine, ive had MSD 6al or 6l or something and ive been wondering if i should get rid of my ballast, but i havent gotten around to it yet. mine still runs fine though.
