Seems a lot of people are ditching the toll free numbers because there is essentially no longer any long distance. Just dumping another cost they don't need.
In 1997 I was using the call forwarding on my cell phone to not get charged long distance. I would forward my cell number to the land line. Then call my cell from the land line. I forget who the carrier was back then, but they said you can't do that. I kept doing it and never had a long distance charge.

just got my big block oil pan for an a body i'm building for a customer . their still there . it could be the phone companies issues .
