How do you remove the springs for a '63 Dart manual convertible top without killing yourself?
Never have attempted that procedure, but maybe it is the same as removing the brawny clutch pedal spring.
Open or close the top, so the spring is pulled open.
Stick pennies in the spring, while it is open.
Close or open the top, so the spring compresses, on the pennies.
Remove spring.
Dang, I use wood shims to remove/replace the jack springs on my RV and totally forgot about that method on the convertible top springs.Wow, way cool trick!
