What size is the oring on the master cylinder rod bolt for a 66 dart with manual brakes?

Thanks,
Allen

That's more of a rubber bushing than an o-ring... Usually comes with new master...

Yeah. It's a rectangular cross section. Not an "O". Your MC must have the counterbore in the housing to use it.
It may be available at NSPA.

I bought just the rubber bushing, but forgot where. Probably Dr Diff, Booster Dewey, or one of those brake specialists. I recall the first bushing came with the 2-4 bolt firewall adapter plate I bought, but I destroyed it when I test fit the brake rod into a later MC piston (99 Breeze). I tried to remove the rod to install a rubber dust shield and tore up the bushing getting it out. That MC is for power brakes so isn't supposed to have the mentioned locking groove in the piston hole, but the rubber seems to grab well regardless.

I found that a piece of rubber hose cut to length fit good enough.

Good. Many people have done that. As long as the rod is secured in the piston it should work.

Spray a little light lube on the bushing before installing to help keep from tearing it up... WD-40, PB Blaster, etc....
