Hi,
My setup is:
Procomp heads with PAC SPRINGS ( Double springs with damper )
Solid cam .600 lift
Eagle forge crank, rods and pistons. ( Balanced )

At the moment I am crossing finish line @ 7200 rpm.

What is your feedback? Or what is the suggested max rpm for this set up

What engine?

Small block stroked 410

rear gears...torque conveter....cam timing....are the heads ported or not? Compression...intake manifold? hard to see that stuff from the west coast....

Cam profile or lobe series
Style of cam (Hyd. solid, roller)
Carb size

Rear gear: 4.11
Converter stall: 3500
Port and polish heads
Compression ratio: 11.5:1
Intake: Super Victor
Slicks: 29
Weight 2500 lbs
Solid Cam, .610" lift
Carb: Pro Systems 850 CFM

what is the max safe rpm for this setup

Springs are right for high rpm.
What’s the duration @.050?

7200 with a 4.11 screw and 29 inch tall tires is 152 MPH. You don’t have enough engine to do that. Not even close. So you are either driving through the converter or your tach is junk or the clocks are wrong at the track or some of all of it. My rough math says you need a 5.13 gear.

First things first.

What do the dyno results tell you? Where does it make peak horsepower?

I mean, we can look at the rpm capability of each component. Is that the questions being asked here? Or is the question, what RPM is safe for the engine? (which is the sum of the aforementioned question.

I’m going to say it’s “highly unlikely” the SM SBM heads have PAC 1226 springs on them(275lbs@2.00”)

And if they actually do....... there are 16 flat tappet cam lobes going flat.
