Mid 60's assembly line pics

-
That is cool. I wonder if anyone has done videos of more detailed car production? I was a UAW tool maker in the 80's and 90's. We built the tooling (dies, assembly fixtures) that made and stampings and assembled sub assemblies. Lots and lots go into that final product.
Thanks for the video.

The last picture is the best. 200 69 camaros all in the same parking lot. Looks just like any car show you go to today.

Mopars only? The old guy with the Hemi is my favorite!

Because I worked for a parts manufacturer I ended up going into several different assembly plants in the late 80s to mid 90s. It's something every car guy should see at least once.

I believe the color picture of the 69' camaros was the back lot of Yenko awaiting conversion. They were all 427 cars.

And the picture of the Mustangs with no hoods is probably at Shelby since there is a bunch of Cobras just beyond the Mustangs.

The old guy is Dynoing or breaking in the hemi.... Notice that it is running the alternator and water pump.... Probably a Dyno line at the Hemi plant.?

That would be at Chrysler's Marine Plant where the 2nd Gen Hemi was assembled.

Daytona at 2;12 looks to have 68 side marker lights.
