Any one enjoy a good mince pie?

Tonight im trying my hand at making them for the first time. The filling tasets great but i already messed up on the crust...

We will see how it turns out.

For those that dont know, mince pie is like a pot pie. Im using beef and pork i also put in a little chese i had in the fridge. My girl has nevernhad one so hopefully i dont screw it up to bad and wreck her opinion on them beacuse let me tell you. When they are made by someone who knows how to make them they are about the best thing you will ever eat!!!

Here is the recipe i used.

If you have a recipe you like please post it. I would love to know how you do it!

When I was a kid my mother used to make the best mince pie, right at Christmas time. She put raisins in it too. I wish I could taste one of hers again but she's been gone for many many years...greatest apple pie you ever tasted too.

looks like something my in laws make called "empanadas"
(not the sweet ones, the mexicans make)

it has ground beef in it, raisins, boiled eggs, onions and olives in it
you can either oven bake em, or deep fry em
(i dont need to explain which one is better)

now, when i make stuff like this (sheppards pie, or casseroles) i use breakfast sausage
saves me from having to season the beef
