Has anyone installed modern front seat belts in their a-body convertible? Tips and suggestions please

Don't think those will work in a convertible- no upper anchor point.
With a 'vert, most people convert to modern buckets with integrated shoulder harnesses- one of the more popular swaps are Chrysler Sebring convertible seats; but there are others too.

Of course, if you're trying to retain the original buckets, this is not an option...
Chrysler did offer optional shoulder restraints in A body ragtops, but they were rather awkward.
I'll try to find some links that show how they did it, or maybe someone can chime in with them.

When we first bought our 64 we felt vulnerable with just a lap belt. There was an aftermarket shoulder harness that had the belt reel mounted on the interior body post near the floor with the pivot point on the same body post just below the rear - side window. It looked like a bit of a hassle getting in and out of the back seat. I also looked at the Chrysler Sebring seat conversion but, in the end, didn't like losing the original bucket seats. After chewing on the different options and constantly looking at the horn button being attached to a solid steel shaft that originates roughly behind the front bumper, we decided that increasing our following distance and choosing our accident, if need be, was what we were willing to live with.
