Hello Fabo, This year I decided to make a trip to Senigallia, Italy to the "Hottest Rockin' Holiday on Earth", the lovely Summer Jamboree #18 festival, with my fish. It was the first long trip for my Barracuda since I bought it last winter and a real test, 'cause the weather was freaking hot and the sun was burning down. But the fish was awesome and it was a lot of fun to drive it. As a little help another Plymouth joined the trip down to Italy - 1966 Valiant Station 200 four speed. The Summer Jamboree festival was as cool and stylish as usual. Rockin' and swingin' bands, including Chris Montez(!), and some old cars - and nothing is cooler when you are strolling down the lungomare and you spot some classic cars. And Senigallia is a fine backdrop for classic cars! Here are some Pics: Natural born enemies: Back in time... 1966 273C.I. 4speed Valiant Station 200; 273C.I. 4bbl Barracuda; 289C.I. 4Speed Mustang; Now a short HD-video: SUMMER JAMBOREE #18 The video is around 7min long, including cars, bands and dance scenes. Have some fun watching it!!!
Weather in Italy is similar to Florida. ...and hot means about 40 degrees Celsius ( above 100 degrees Fahrenheit), in Death Valley its a way hotter...
Loved it! Reminded me of the time I spent in Ostia Italy. Never saw many Mopars there but do remember a blue duster that was parked down the street from where I was living. That Jamboree looked like a blast! You drove down to Sig from Austria?
We took the nighttrain from Vienna to Verona with the cars onboard, then there were only 320 kilometers left to reach Senigallia.... In the past we did the whole trip - about 1000 kilometers one direction - on the road, but it became a boring thing over the years, therefore we decided to use the train and now we start our holidays in Verona. 300 kilometers through the Emiglia Romana is a fun to drive.
