Mr. Gasket Vertigate shifter mod for the street

Necessity is the mother of a MOPAR Invention. Note the scissors, which are very difficult to pull up on when shifting and downshifting are now replaced by my custom lever built out of a dart hood latch handle and a turnbuckle with bolts. Finished her off with some custom nail polish my daughter had to touch up the paint on her plum crazy Mustang.
To shift from 1st to 4th gear you pull straight back then you push forward and pull back again and you do the opposite for downshifting the handle will release the detent and allow downshifting pretty awesome for the street.Absolutely no need for a preloaded spring and scissors to make the shifter work. I quadrupled the speed and ease of shift operation. The simple use of gravity allows no need for a spring. I may post a YouTube video of this.
