MSD 6AL with Summit Switch panel problems

Hello,

Recently swapped a built 360 into my 72 Dart. When wiring up my new 6al box with the switch panel from summit, I can only get the box to flash 5 times with the ignition switch flipped, I have 12v running through the red wire to the skinny 6al at this time. But when I push the start button, the engine cranks, but no spark. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the small red (hot) wire hooked up to constant hot? If it’s hooked to the run circuit, that’s dead for a second while the start circuit is activated...

The 6AL needs constant hot to the battery and also switched 12V. If you turn the key to on the light on the box should come on.
