Well I really like the 70 Duster, but being here in Indiana its hard to find a decent project. So that being the case Im going to make my own 70 looking Duster. Yea I know its not what everybody would do, but I got the car from Seattle Washington and its pretty much a rust free ride. Was a /6 Dave
Enjoy, oh I replaced the rear pass quarter, it had a nice gash in the wheel opening, and buckled the quarter out, so I replaced it.
I got the tail panel, hood, front filler panel, grill and misc part from a guy up northern In. I have a 69 340, standard bore slated for the car, but id like to go stroker so i might just use a 360 block and spare the 340 block. After building my avatar car, I got spoiled driving that thing around!!
I got tired of laying on my back, so 150.00 later in steel and a few days wolla I made life easier for me.
Good lookin' project Dave-o. Where in IN are you? I'm in Bloomington and there are a few other guys fairly nearby. Keep us updated and good luck,Dan
AHHHH, rust free cars from Seattle! Get em while they last guys because King county (Seattle) has now decided that salt is the best way to combat ice on the roads. They have the trucks loaded up right now so my guess is the first slat coating will be some time this week! I'm ganna have to hose off the bottom of the cars every other day. :angry7:
Nice work, i love the stance. These a bodies sure look good mini tubbed and with some meats under the back. What is your combo? eg: tire size and wheel offset, springs and rear end width etc.
It might help abit washing every other day,but the salt gets in everywhere! If you want to keep your cars fresh?Park them and get a cheap winterbeater...old 4 door Chebbies fishtale nice in the snow!:toothy10: P.S Great work on the Duster and love the rims!
Ill have to go measure it, its been awhile, I think the rear is around 42", the tires are MT 315-about 28 inces tall and 13.5 wide(drag radials). Has SS springs. I made the spring boxes. I wanna say the rim is 5" offset, cant remember. :
This is looking awesome. You would really through people off that look at the vin and know how to read it haha. Nice stance and good wheel choice. I like this one a lot.
