I used to shoot our locomotives with Imron and a clear coat. They came out pretty nice I think. Steve

Dam thats cheep.. try looking at the cost of PPG DBC. My shop cost for a gallon of Plum Crazy was 970.. just for the base..

a couple of years ago i restored and painted one of my barracuda's - a 68 fastback MM1 turbine bronze. i wanted it to have a "1968" look so i painted it with acrylic lacquer. the only place i could find lacquer paint was TCP Global auto body supplies in San Diego, California. they can only sell lacquer paint to addresses outside california. they also had the original acrylic enamel that mopars were painted with. i haven't talked to them for a few years and don't know what kind of paint they still have available. the lacquer they had sold for around $285.00/gallon. PPG had original enamel factory mixed paint but it was $1000/gallon.
