My Car Story With Lou Costabile

Yeah, they’re a better fit than what came on it, and don’t use tube nuts either! I wouldn’t doubt if they don’t make as much if not more power than the HP manifolds from some of the dyno results of HP manifolds vs the early B body manifolds.
If you remember, Jim Laroy did testing on HP and stock manifolds and found not ONE single HP difference. NONE.

Cool car! Glad to see old wagons like that.

Thought I'd add this one here too since its along the same lines. 440 4-speed car! I forget what year this one is but this guy built it himself and would bring it to many of the shows/venues I was at when I lived near Detroit. Another similar cool car!

That's just badass!

I THOUGHT the USAF also used Navy blue.

Yes, the Air Force was using a blue (blasphemy to call it Navy blue, lol) when I went active duty in 1984. Our shop had a couple Dodge D100 pickups that were blue. Not sure what year they started using it. The Air Force was under the Army until September 18, 1947 when they became an independent branch.

I currently work on an Air Force Base. They still use blue on some of their vehicles but it's whatever blue the manufacturer has. No longer ordered with a specific color. Many are not even blue now, just whatever color they can get I guess.
