My transmission took a dump today

Well it won't blow up your transmission like Kaboom! but your clutches will wear out inside and then we'll have to rebuild it..

None of it is rocket science, but it's all got to be done correctly. With the correct stuff. I've always found I've gotten it close to working right by hand, but had to private a little bit and make some fine adjustments.
 
I like setting mine up just a tad towards the touchy side. but some people like it a bit mushy where you have to lay into it a bit to get it to kick down..

If I were you, I'd worry about getting those motor mounts right before working on the trans linkage, like these guys are telling you. Twist that engine over and you'll be fixing all kinds of stuff, including that linkage again.
