Put new tires on the 65 Dart’s SBP rallyes today and the mind starts naturally drifting to the question of trim rings.
The car came with 5 rings. Three that work, Two that are too deep and none that are just right. The three that work appear to be stainless, shiny type and 1-7/8” deep. They have viscious little raptor claws that hold on to the wheel that explain the scrapes and gouges on the rallyes. See pics.
Anyway does anyone recognize this type of ring? I haven’t seen this type.
Is it worth it to find another? Maybe scrap the three and buy different ones. Refurbish the scraped up wheels and go commando style?
