Anybody know where I can get new door seals for my 65 Dart 2 door sedan? I don't see it on ebay, at least for a 2 door. It consists of the rubber seal combined with the fabric covered rope/windlass on the inside, - goes all around the door opening, and under the sill.

920-324-2481 vans auto
works better to call then online
do not forget vent window seals(both) and roof seal
just installed for 64 barracuda
may wish to check if they have a complete kit

I have a brand new set of Black ones in the box I'm not going to use. PM if interested.

I know rockauto.com sells metro gaskets... not sure if they have what you need.
I've checked into Metro catalog. They have seals for hardtops and convertibles, and later models (67+) Didn't see any for the 65/66 sedans. Thanks
:prayer:

If you don't want exact repro. jc whitney sells cloth covered windlace.
I'd like to get the complete outfit, looks like it is one-piece, seal with the windlass. but, yes, the windlass is what's worn the most. Possibility. Thanks

Thread Hijack:

Does the windlass come in different colors, or is it always black? The windlass on my car is black, but it doesn't seem right for the color of my car and interior.

Is your windlass also connected to the black rubber seal that goes over the steel flange? i.e. the single piece has both the rubber strip and the cloth covered rope (windlass). ?

I ordered a full set of weather seals from Legenary for my Challenger three weeks ago.

Still waiting for them to arrive....

I seem to remember that there was a post on here by WAGGIN about using s-10 windlace. It is easier to get and you can find it in salvage yards all over. or online new for 1/3 the price of metro or legendary. of course it only comes in black.

I found some black weather seal with 5/8th tube attached (swap meet , gm type and had a choice of 1/2,5/8 or 3/4 round and double that for oddly shaped tubes)that looked like wind lace but was plastic coated. and used that. I just super glued my door seal on into the top end piece for my convertible AND used the same seal to redo my 92 ram (ahh no wind whistle or water leaks in it) worked great for me. the ram door took about 12 ft to do tall the way around and the convertible took about 8 to do. heck for 1.50 to 2.00 a ft it was a deal.

found a place online that has it but have not looked at their price yet.

Yes, I forgot to mention that part about the samples and how nice they are to deal with. I just got a sample in red and it looks very good.
