Hi everyone, My 1972 Duster needs a new steering gear box. Is there one from a different vehicle I could use or am I stuck with getting a rebuilt one?

Call steer and gear. They are a sponsor here. Check to the right.

If you have a junk yard near by you can see if they have any Dodge Diplomats or anything older including 85 and older vans and campers

I would second the vote for Steer and Gear. They rebuilt my steering box on my 69 Dart and the price wasn't bad either.

I think you need a '72 or earlier box. I think the sector shaft was smaller, and the pitman arm stud comes through the opposite side of the center link.
