Need to get my Valiant arm rests restored

Can anybody tell me what's the best place to have the arm rests on my '62 Valiant restored?

So far, Just Dashes is the only company I've found that restores arm rests.

Sent my arm rests off to Just Dashes. They told me on the phone that the cost of restoring them would be approximately $90 each, which is subject to change when they receive the arm rests. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Oh my god!!! It's going to cost about $350 for two arm rests, rather than $180, after Just Dashes got done tacking on extra costs such as "color matching", etc. :sad1:

Obviously having your interior parts restored by Just Dashes is for guys with plenty of money. That leaves me out!

So I'm going to have just the two front arm rests done, but not the rear ones. And I'll just try to fix up the rest of the interior myself, the best I can.

Luckily my dashboard is in pretty good shape, and the '60-'62 Valiants didn't use a dash pad!

Does anybody know roughly how much it costs to have Just Dashes restore a dashboard and dash pad? A lot, I'll bet!

Had them do my dash pad and 4 arm rests back in 07. Was like 872.00 or so. Would never use them again. They were very rude to me. Acted like they were to good to even redo my parts and talked down to me like I was stupid. Should of told them to send them back after that but they were the only game in town. Got my parts back. They did an ok job. Not as nice as you would think for the money I paid out though and to top it off they had one arm rest all jacked up to where I could not even reinstall it.

Check in your local yellow pages for a vinyl repair technician. Around here they're called Dr. Vinyl who knows what they go by where you are. They can repair cracks and re-dye them, usually on the spot. They do all sorts of repairs for the local dealerships and I GUARANTEE you the dealerships aren't paying that kind of $$$. My buddy had several cracks repaired in his dash and the guy charged him $50.

Just Dashes charged me an additional $100 for "color matching" two of the arm rests on my '62 Valiant. My question is, what are they supposed to match? Their color matches absolutely nothing else on the door panel!
