Found in the trunk of a 71 Demon project car I bought years ago...
It is a 3 speed
Welded shaft
Competition Plus
Patent Pending (no Patent numbers)
only numbers on side under the Competition Plus words are 404026
Has White ball shift knob.
I am thinking that the fact it is patent pending and welded, that it might be one of the first by Hurst.
Thanks in advance for replies.
Best,
Snake

It has bolt/nut adjustable stops so th must be a aftermarket. Why would a 3 speed have 3 levers? They used the 4 speed positions for the 3 speed transmission and reverse. .

Aftermarket 4-speed shifter with an aftermarket 3-speed ball on it.

Thanks guys...worth anything?

Well......it would be worth "more" if you can grind that welded shift handle off without hurting the shifter itself. If you can, I'd say in the 200 dollar range.

Have you been to the hurst products site? Should do an internet search, numbers are listed somewhere, just can’t remember where.

Try and figure what it is for and sell it that way as is. $200 minimum. The handle and reverse lever number is the key. Sell the 3 speed ball separately to avoid confusion.

back in the day, hurst welded towers on the shifter. I'd say , it's a factory shifter.. don't grind it off.
