Hello everyone, I have a 340 engine that I need to have rebuilt, would anyone know a shop that could do that in the North Texas Area?

No ****. I just got back from dropping my daughter at Baylor in Waco and went back and forth across the North half of Texas visiting various friends and extended family. That is a big frigging state!
It's roughly a 16 hour trip from the Louisiana border to the New Mexico border across the state, I've made that trip a few times.

Why not find a competent machine shop to do the machine work and rebuild it yourself for the lifetime of knowledge you will gain? When I was 15 I took a 360 to my local machine shop for the normal rebuild machine work. Asked a few questions and the owner (Karl) said “why don’t you just do it yourself?” He gave me the opportunity to use all of his equipment and tools as well as his shop to rebuild that engine with his guidance. I have been grateful ever since. He has since passed but was a good friend of mine ever since that day 25 years ago.
I've used both shops below, no issues with either one.
