Need Windshield Lockstrip for 68 Dart Convertible

My 68 Dart convertible needs the lockstrip that fits in the window rubber at the base of the windshield. Looks like it is plastic. I looked at some aftermarket stuff but mine is way different than theirs. Please see photo. Mine fits into the channel but the lower portion convers most of the lower rubber (which was overpainted green ). It what I have original? Does anybody have a source?

Normally, I would have that piece in stock, part # IN-CM8, $198.00. But at the present time, I am out of stock on that part and we're having a hard time getting more into our warehouse. Seems as though there's been quite a demand for that piece here lately as we have sold about a half dozen of them the past couple of weeks.

It is original and its a shame the factory did that too. My 67 is/was the same.
If there was an easy way to install 4 or 5 molding clips the stainless trim from any other A-body would fit right on over a round rubber lock cord in the gasket. Good luck
