Needing a cam size recommendation for a 470!

Compression be hanged.........you can put any cam you want in it, as long as you have the torque converter and gears to go with it.

Will it run better with more compression? Yep!

But me? First.......I would put some good cylinder heads on it.

Yup, I have dropped compression to gain GOOD airflow and made more power every time.

You can run the CR up and lose power because you kill airflow, or at least disturb it.

Can't beat a quality converter and the correct gears. Most guys don't have enough of either.

Well, I pulled the trigger tonight, I found a set of procomp heads that have been cnc worked and 78 cc chambers with 1.6 Harland Sharp roller rockers!

get ready to loose ur heater motor. did u have the raised port heads flowed ? mine flow (standard port) 352 @.0600 lift, but don`t go up w/ increased rpm. should be a kick *** street head that`ll turn it on at the strip. for the street, to me, it doesn`t make a whole lot of sense to go much over ur max lift flow, w/ the cam. " did I say that right ?" -I know what I`m thinkin !-----LOL
