Hi there! I have a 1975 Plymouth Duster that I am the second owner of. My grandmother was the first having bought the Duster brand new.

I have had the stock v8 318 engine rebuilt and a little built up. Also I had the tranny rebuilt with a mild shift kit, front suspension redone and twin exhaust flow masters put on.

Unfortunately a couple days ago someone hit me and ran😞
So besides the couple spots of rust and redoing the vinyl top (I'm thinking of either removing it and leaving it off or rhino lining it) I now have some body work to do to the front passenger.

All I can say on that is the Duster took 50 to zero like a champ!

    Anyhow, thanks for having me!

That's a good looking car. I think I would fix it back with a new vynl top. But that's just me! Sorry you got hit.

Thank you! While I do like the look of the vinyl top I don't like the longevity, she is my daily driver and I'm in ca so summers are HOT, so the vinyl just doesn't last and then it leaks and basically I'm afraid of how much rust I will find under it after I peel it off😳

But I've seen the rhino lining done on the top and it looked pretty good! Or I'm just toying with not having a black top but I don't know...

After I fix the damage from the accident, alignment and body, I'm thinking I will start prepping her for paint (I'm thinking matching the dark green interior, removing the side strip and having a black one painted on...)

    That's all the future though☺️

Went through the same thing with my wife's 72 where the vinyl top was trashed.
This is Rustoleum semi flat (basically) rolled on heavy until it textured over Eastwood Rust Encapsulator.

The garbage on the top is water from melting frost.
About 25 bucks into it not counting the Eastwood.

Thank you every one! I will look into painting the top too!
Tried to get an insurance estimate for the damage from the wreck but a specialist has to come out because thief logs don't go back that far

That is a good looking Duster, and a nice transplant under the hood! There should be no shortage of parts available here to repair the damage!!!

Thank you! That the original engine I had torn down and rebuilt and built up (same for the tranny) I know it would have been cheaper to go with another engine instead of rebuilding mine but I didn't want the vins to not match😳 Even though it's never going to be sold it just irked me.

I will definitely be looking for a new grill! The accident broke the connection between it and headlight and to frame.
But! Besides the bumper being pushed back there's not a ding in it! Just the asshats paint I'll have to get off😕
