Machining issue in transfer slot. With this flaw I will not be able to square up the T-slot. Opinions please. Brand new quick fuel carb.

Contact Quick Fuel/Holley yet? If they are made wrong then they should warranty them.

send a pic to RMA it. (Return material authorization) Is it not just a splinter? Better not to find out but to ask QF

Since it looks like a machining chip remnant, I'd see if it can be wiggled gently with a pick. If so, clean it out and move on

I got it from summit racing. I am sure they will just take it back.

Well, I couldn't stand it. I had to open it up and try. I took the base off the carb and the metal was still attached but was extremely thin. I took a feeler gauge and slid it through the slot and knocked it right out. Now the carb is already running on the car. I guess my rant is over now.
