A thounds I understand if it sounded like a solid lifter cam but it's in one spot at the back not the whole thing
Yes I used the oil and the comp cam additive I did the whole break in procedure I broke it in with the lifters that the cam came with I changed the lifters after the cam was broke in I thought one of the lifters wasn't pumping up so I changed them and the noise didn't change
Could be a lifter that's not pumping up. If it persists and you can identify the offending lifter and verify that it's nothing catastrophic like a lobe going flat, you may try fishing the lifter out and giving it a good cleaning before reinstalling.
You may have wiped a lobe and or lifter, then. It's all over the internet everywhere about Comp's piss poor quality these days. I wouldn't use one of their cams or any of their lifters in a Briggs and Stratton. I hope you figure it out and it's something stupid easy.

I'm not sure I'd go that far yet. Maybe the valve covers, yes. Then get the rockers on the base circle one by one and see if any are loose. That would tell you maybe if you had a lifter or lobe going out. Easier than the intake and if that's not it, then you've not snatched the intake. Yet.
I bought a solid roller cam from them last year and within 30 passes it was wiped out along with the new Bam lifters. Plus now everything needs to be gone through.
Are you hinting at adding solids to your existing cam?
Yes, solid roller if i find a set for a decent price.. did research on it and supposedly it's not an issue.
Keep me posted on that. I had a thread way back asking if you could put solid flat tappets with my hydraulic and it was like I asked who makes the best spark plugs.
