Mopar Fast Ratio Steering Linkage Kit

Upgrade your steering setup today with PST’s brand NEW Fast Ratio Steering Linkage Kit. PST had you Mopar Fans in mind when designing this kit. It will enhance the steering capabilities of your A,B or E Mopars. Our kit includes our Fast Ratio Pitman Arm, Idler Arm and the more robust 11/16” inner and outer tie rods ends. To tie the inner and outer tie rods together we have included PST’s solid Adjusting Sleeves. This kit will give you the best of both worlds, the steering ratio of a high performance AAR Mopar and the Heavy Duty steering components seen on the land yachts of the Mopar C bodies.
    · The Fast ratio gives you quicker steering response.
    · Solid Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeves. Machined from a solid block of hex steel. These reduce/eliminate the deflection seen in the factory sleeves
    · Better Handling
    · 11/16” solid adjusting sleeves that are normally found on the larger C bodies are now available for your A, B &E body Mopars
    · Less turns of the steering wheel to get the wheels to turn a given distance.
    · A plus for parking by having the reduced ratio.
    · Works with Manual or Power Steering cars

This is a new kit that we just put together and it is a great deal compared to just buying our Fast Ratio Pit and Idler Arm. I am currently having it put on our site. But if you would like to order now please call into our sales line.

We know that it will clear the Schumacher Tri-Y and 440 (High Deck) headers on the A Bodies.

As for the early A bodies 1967-72 It will work if you are using the 73 and later centerlink and spindle set up.

If any one has any other questions please let me know.

    Thanks

Im running a small block 360 with TTI headers on a 67 Valiant, the headers go above the drag link. Also what ratio would this change mine into with a standard 24:1 manual box. I have upgraded the front end to 73 disc break set up which included tube upper a arms with larger ball joints, spindals, lower control arm/ spindale tie rod connection all of that stuff, would it possibly work for me ?????. Thanks. One other thing my K frame is a later model v8 frame that has the through bolt idler arm mnt. to the k-frame. (if that helps in figuring out if I could use it)

How much of an increase from the stock 24:1 ratio does this give?

    StrokerScamp,

Sorry for the delay in answering your question. I was out of the office yesterday. I will have to look into your question on the 24:1 but I do know on the standard 16:1 you will see a reduction to 12:1. If that is any help.

    Thanks

NO. They will not work. Look at the Firm Feel site for the longer pitmans/idlers A-body applications. Only Schumacher Tri-Y fits for A-body. Virtually every other A-body will not fit.

Even stock 340 exhaust manifolds with stock type head pipes will NOT fit.

That application list for A-bodies is all WRONG.

PST, do you have pictures of one of your fast ratio pitmans installed in an A-body???

PST, I thought the early A bodies were 64 to 66 and the later were 67 and up.

Im Sorry about that I must have been in mid sentence and left my desk and came back. When I answered the question about early A bodies. We only have the Fast Ratio kit for the 67 and up. As for a picture of one installed on an A let me see what I can do. I currently do not have a pic but I personally have a 72 Duster and I will see if I can bring one home and fit it or I will see if one of my techs have a pic.

    Thanks

$239 is a great buy when you consider buying just the pitman and idler arm alone. DON'T WAIT ON THIS PRICE

I have more questions. First, what makes this kit NOT able to work with the early (63-66) cars? Secondly, can you say for sure what the ratio would be from a stock 24:1 box using this kit? I'm interested, but I need to know before hand why it will not work with the early cars so that I can see if it is something that cen be overcome. Thanks.

I have a '74 Duster with a 440 and Schumacher Tri-ys. I am running a manual box and planning upgrading to the flaming river (16:1) box.

Will this kit work with that combination?

I know that it should work with the headers but as for the flaming river box. I can not say for sure as we have not test fitted one to it. But I would say it would take you down to a 12:1 steering ratio.

    Thanks

Yes this would work with the 73-6 factory setup.

    Thanks

That doesn't sound too bad. Do you know if the pitman arm is a larger or small sector? Also, I noticed this thread is about a month old - Is it still available for $239?

The one that we currently supply is a small sector shaft.

    Thanks

does this work with a 360 with tti headers on a 1974 dart swinger with factory power steering box?
And would these work on same set up but with a firm feel box?
