JoeyCurl, I had a 69 Cutlass painted by Isreal at California Finest in West Oakland. With careful explanation of what I wanted, he nailed it and the price was right.
My daughter and SIL told me about this and I plan to attend in my recent acquired '63 Valiant Vert. Hope to meet forum members there.
Saturday May 22nd - there will be a meet up and cruise. Details will be released soon, so mark your calendars- all mopars to 1974 welcome
Here are the details for the meet up and cruise All CLASSIC Mopar’s through 1974 are welcome! Meet-up spot: Bass Pro Shops at 9AM, located at 5160 Cherry Ave in San Jose. By 10AM, we are leaving our meet-up spot above and cruising, as a group, on a 30 mile freeway cruise to Huddart Park, located at 1100 Kings Mountain Rd in Woodside. Bring your own lunch & chairs; plenty of parking spaces and open lawn space at the park to socialize and catch up!! Bring $ for parking, I believe it’s about $6 per car to park. Also, there is a 76 Gas Station close to Huddart Park for anybody who wants some 100 octane fuel
Does anyone know a locksmith in the Bay Area that will re-key my ignition, door, and trunk locks? I have separate ignition and door, and no trunk keys. I have extra locks that can be used for parts.
Easy enough to do, BUT '65 was the last year for those locks and I cannot remember if the pins are the same size as '66-up. I've got a set of door locks around here somewhere for a '65
I have two sets of 65 & earlier door locks- one set has a key, and two ignition switches- one key, and a trunk lock w no key. The door & ignition tumblers might have enough pins or wafers combined to key them alike. My understanding is that the trunk uses a different key blank keyed differently than doors and ign.
Damn, crept up on me. Thx Spring / Fall Turlock – Turlock's Best Auto Swap! Anybody going to this one on Saturday? Alameda East Bay Swap Meet Free Admission and Parking
Finishing up carpet and re-negotiating my clutch linkage on the 65 Barracuda. Wanna run it around next weekend. I’ll be at the Alameda swap wearing my safety orange Wagons of Steel shirt if anyone wants to meet up. Regarding the trunk lock- I bought it sans key from a member. Yesterday I ran across a ring of orphan mopar keys in the junk drawer and one was a match! Just need to re-key the ignition to match the doors now.
I'll be there in my '63 Valiant Vert. Come by to say hello. This will be the first classic car swap meet I'm attending in over 20 yrs so it should be fun.
Might head up there. Always hesitant about going, since there usually isn't much in the way of mopar parts.
Usually 30 to 40 cars. It depends, i think there will be more this month since this is the first one in over a year because of the covid
